Kendall Coffey and Jeffrey Crockett Represent Ugo Colombo in Jet Battle

A Miami Design District developer by the name of Craig Robins was seeking punitive damages against Ugo Colombo, a big name in Miami real estate. The two of them once jointly owned a private jet together and the Third District Court of Appeal denied Robins’ petition after a lower court allowed Colombo to amend his lawsuit against Robins. This is the latest action in this fight that has been drawn out for the last 10 years. Colombo bought the jet with an $18.5 million Back of America loan and Robins became co-owner later the same year. The two of them also signed agreements evenly splitting jet maintenance and dividing operating costs based on usage. But Colombo has accused Robins of defaulting to get out of his contract in an attempt to have Colombo pay Robins’ share.
